WAIPORI MARU. ANOTHER MISHAP. AUCKLAND. August 22. The isteamer Waipori Maru which was sold by the Union Company to Japanese, put "back to Auckland tonight for repairs to a circulating pump. This is the( second occasion in six days this vessel ha 3 returned io Auckland In distress. She originally left Auckland on August 14 fbr Newcastle and Mapila. On August 17 the veesel put back for bunker coal, and resumed her voyage next day. On the propent occasion the vessel was 130 miles west of North Cape and experiencing boisterous west north west weather, when an accident to the pump occurred. Owing to the rough Weather, repairs could not be effected at sea. T’he vessel expects to resume voyage on Friday.
