(From Our Own Correspondent.) HOKITIKA, August 22. Mr G. Lakin, Secretary of .th? Hokitika Fire B.igade, ’eceived advice yesterday afternoon that the invitation to the New Zealand Fire Brigades’ Association to hold the annual confer.'nee of delegates and the twoyearly demonstration at Hokitika in March next had been accepted. This will mean a big influx to Hokitika on the occasion. It is a good many years since the last competitions were held here. Mr Watts (secretary) states it will be the most up-to-date and practical in the history of the Association. The.
