LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
NORMAN COX CUP. To morrow at 3 p.m. on the Recreation Ground Greymouth.. the Canterbury and West (’oast Schools’ rep teams meet for the Norman Cox Memorial Cup (a trophy for competition between Secondary and Primary Schools throughout the South Inland). The Canterbury team (wjo arc the present holders of ihc much-coveted trophy) arrived by the express last evening. They are avrompanied by Messrs Logan and Young as managers. The boys were met at the station by Mr J. D. Wingham (President c.f the West Coast Centre), who extended them a very hearty welcome to Un.* Coast. This evening the visiters will be the guests of Mr A. Beban at the pictures; Saturday evening they will !.<• entertained at a dinner given in taeir honour by the Junior Advisory Board: Sun Say morning they will be taken for a motor spin to one of the local scenic resorts, as the guests of the Centre, whilst on Monday they will the guests of Mr I. A. James (Superintendent of tho State Coal Mines), who will conduct the boys mi a tour of the State Mines at Rewanui. FIXTURES FOR SUNDAY. SENIORS. Marist v Runanga at Cobden on Sunday at 3 p.m. in final <.f Knockout Cup (referee, Mr A. Feilding). JUNIORS. Brunner v Blackball at Blackball, 3 p.m. (Mr W. Parsonage). Ngahere v Runanga at Dunollie, ? p.m. (Mr J. Topp). Grey, Marist and Nelson Creek, byes. Nelson Creek have played all their games in this junior competition.
