WOMAN’S SUICIDE
AT SEVENTH ATTEMPT. PARIS, May 9. At the seventh attempt, Madame Pochard, who was heartbroken by her husband’s death succeeded in committing suicide, at Provins. She tried twice to hang herself, but was cut down. She then tried poison, but recovered. She next jumped in. to a river, but was rescued. She then jumped from a window and fell upon a woman. whom she nearly killed, while she herself was merely bruised. Finally she locked herself in a room and hanged herself with the same rope as she had tried before.
