SEA COOKS’ STKIKE. ARBITRATION JUDGE’S THREAT. ( N 'Z Anevl ' MELBOURNE, April 20. The Chief Justice Air. Dethridge, of the Arbitration Court, today warned the members of the Marine Cook Union that if they continued to resort to direct action, he would consider suspending or setting aside their award. He had no doubt the union was adopting direct action tactics iff the holding u n of the “Dlimaroa” and other vessels recently. His honour agreed to provide for the insertion of a clause in the award prohibiting the members of the Union from participating in strikers. ri ’he owners’ application to set aside th e award was adjourned for a week.
