DESTRUCTIVE FIRE
LN DUNEDIN BIOBE. (Per Press -association.) DUNEDIN, April 20. At 8.30 this evening a fire broke out in. a building at the corner ot Newsley and Willis Streets, owned by Messrs John Mill and Co, and. occupied by Messrs A. S. Paterson and Co., as a store for wool and skins, and electrical machinery. Th 0 building was divided into three sections, the largest of which contained electrical machinery valued at approximately £25,000. Sonic £4OOO worth of hides and skins were stored in the adjoining section, but the smallest of the three, which was used as a hide floor, was empty. The fire had a strong- hold before the brigade arrived, and although it was got under within half an hour oT tho alarm being given, the greater part of the building was completely gutted, only a hide floor escaping. Cements of tho Wool and hide and electrical stores, which suffered coiu siderable damage by fire and water, war 0 fully insured in the British Traders’ Office. The building cover ed in the Standard Insiurance Co.
