WELLINGTON. April 10. Dr Kidson’s evening report states: An intense anti cyclone is situated over New Zealand, centred south of the Chatham Islands, while a moderate low pressure wave lies between the South Island and Tasmania. Forecast: Northerly winds, moderate generally, but freshening south from Cook 'Strait; seas lather ijough south of . Cape Egmont, elsewhere smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters; moderate to fresh north to west winds and moderate' seas over Tasman Sea, but some rather rough patches in the southern area; weather, fair and mild at first in the East Coast districts south from East Cape, but clouding over and misty showers later- elsewhere; dull and misty with rain in many places.
