SYDNEY, April 9. The second day of the autumn meeting was continued at Randwick in ideal weather. The attendance was seventy-seven thousand. The track was slow. Flying Handicap.—Gretnlinc 9.0 I, Kapuya. 7.1 2, Boaster 9.7 3. Twelve Started. Eastern Stakes.—Bobs March 7.9 1. Panola 8.0 2, Martimah 8.0 3. Ten started. First Steeplechase.—Mendit 10.2 1, Eastern Scot 9.0 2, Prince A rim 10.12 3. Eight started. Time 4.384. Sydney Cup.—Winalot 8.2 (Toohey) 1, Tangible 7.5 (Percival) 2, Strongbow 8.1 (McCarten) 3. Scr: Don Moon and Spearer. When the field settled down, Runnymede was in charge from Tangible, Obey, Black Duchess and Winalot. Passing the stand Black Duchess ran to the front, followed by Runnymede, Obey, Piastoon, Jocelyn, and Winalot. Along the back of the course Tangible held place of honour ahead of Black Duchess, Jocelyn, Winalot and Strongbow. Tangible showed the way into the straight ahead of Winalot, Strongbow, Valwyne, Black Duchess. At the distance Winalot took command and went on to gain a comfortablt win by three and a-half lengths, half a length separating sec ond and .third horses. Time 3.22}. Wentworth Handicap—Oatendale 7.9 1, St. Rogoff 8.2 2, Magical 7.0 3. Twenty started. Time 1.154. Local Handicap.—Vallino 7.11 1, Mountain Prince 7.12 2, Bernsek 8.3 3. Twentv started. Time 2.39. SYDNEY., April A There is much interest and speculation over the meeting of the champions Linn rick and Gothic in .the All-Aged Stakes (1 mile) on Wednesday, and a battle royal is anticipated. Limerick has not accepted for the Cumberland Stakes, of two miles, in which the Australian crack three-year-old. Trivalve, figures. BRISBANE, April 9. At the second day of the Racing Club’s Easter Meeting, Jockey D. O'Connor rode .the winners in five out of eight races. MELBOURNE. April 10. Williamstown Cup resulted: Sun morn 7.13 1, Anna Louise 8.0 2. Ograb 7.12 3. Eleven started. A great finish. Won bv a short head. Timt 2.344. ADELAIDE, April 10. Prior to the start of the Laura Cup. the Stewards discovered a battery in the 'possession of Jockey L. Jacques as Li“ was about to mount Bowalla. The' horse "'as allowed to start, but tho .jockey was disqualified for life. ALL AGED STAKES ACCEPTORS. SYDNEY. April 10. A small but choice field will contest the All-Aged Stakes to-morrow.
