WELLINGTON, March 24. Dr Kidson’s w ather forecast is as f olows:—An extensive depression is covering the Tasman Sea, and the New Zealand area. The forecast is lor moderate to strong north west to westerly winds, reaching a gale force at places soutn of Cape Egmout and Castlepoint, and later backing to south westerlies; rather rough seas south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint, elsewhere moderate seas i.i New Zealand waters; strong to south-west winds, with rough seas over Tasman Sea. The weather genera'ly will be changeable and -squally, with some rain in the western districts and scattered rain elsewhere. WELLINGTON. March 25. Dr Kidson’s latest repor: is as follows:—A low presurc wave is moving eastward of New Zt aland. An anti-cyclone is centred in the Northern Tn.sman iSea,. Thd forecast .is:— South west to westerly winds, moderate, generally, but fresh at times on the East Coast, south of East Cape. The seas will be rather rough, but are decreasing on the South Island Coast.; elsewhere the seas will be moderate in New Zealand waters. There 'will be light variable winds in the Northern Tasman Sea, with moderate westerlies and moderate seas in central and southern Tasman. The weathe r chiefly will be fair to fine, but there will be some isolated light showers, more especially in the eastern districts with cool temperatures.
