Mr W. Gold win is o*n a visit to the NoYth Island. Mrs A. C. Carr is on a visit to Christchurch. Mr Con O’Neill, of Christchurch, returned on Saturday after a business visit to Grey mouth. Mr J. Doyle, of Nelson Creek, returned by Saturday’s express, after visiting Christchurch. Mr and Mrs C. MacDonald, who have been visiting Greymouth, returned on Saturday to Christchurch. Passengers by Saturday’s express included the following. Mrs T. Lim. Miss D. Victor, Mr and Mrs E. 11. Pike, Mrs J. Henderson and Mr L. A. GrayMr A. Bignell, Chairman of the Wanganui Harbour Board, who has been visiting Greymouth, returns this morning. Airs W. Ryan, accompanied by Miss Eileen Ryan, returned to Greymouth on Saturday, after a short visit to Christchurch. Miss D. O’Hallahau. who has been on a visit to the North Island, returned to Greymouth by Saturday’s express. A London cablegram stages that Air Henry Getty Chiflon has men appointed British Minister ito the Vatican at Rome. Mrs Burton, and Miss J. McLeod, of Wellington, who have been visiting Mrs McLeod, of Cobden, left on Saturdav on their return home.
Lieut, Col. XI. H. NorthcToft. Auckland, who is in the Army Legal Department, has been awarded the decoration for Colonial Auxiliary Force’s Officers.
After being with the Atlas Insurance Cov since it began business in New Zealand. Mr T. W. Pilcher, Assistant Manager at Welington is retiring.
