PLAGUE OF GRASSHOPPERS. SYDNEY, March 21. A plague of grasshoppers invaded part of the Riverina district, and is doing considerable damage. Paddocks have been eaten away in less than a day. On many farms, the grasshoppers are so thick that fallow paddocks from a distance look like stubble. TIN FIELD IN TASMANIA. HOBART, March 21.
