Green (Acting District Railway Traffic Manager) arrived from Christchurch yesterday afternoon. The West Coast Provincial Farmers’ Union Executive yesterday decided to nominate Mr 11. W. Kitchingham as its representative on the Council of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand. Messrs E. W. Wade and E. H. Healey, of Christchurch, arrived yesterday to meet the South Australian bowling team on behalf of the New Zealand Bowling Association. They will to-morrow accompany the tourists to Christchurch. Mr Con O’Neill, the well-known Christchurch building contractor, arrived in Greymouth by yesterday’s express. The purpose of his visit is the erection at -Marsden Road of a commodious modern residence for N. Wai lace, for which he has undertaken the contract, and which will be started forthwith. Miss Dixon, Head Teacher of the Ngahere School, was yesterday accorded a hearty vote of thanks by the West Coast Farmers’ Union Provincial Executive for th e success of her school in all of the competitions in agiiculture held on the Coast.
