AMONG DAIRY FARMERS. MAJORITY AGAINST RETENTION. WELLINGTON February 21. Mr. Sidey is very much astray if he imagines that the operation of Summertime has not been attended with a good deal of discomfort and annoyance in tUe rural distrets, par ticularly amongst dairy farmers, stated Mr. A. J. Heighway, managing editor of the “Dairy Produce Exporter” today. In order'to ascertain the real feelings of the dairy farmers on the question, after a practical trial, he went on to explain that “the Exporter” which reaches all dai y farmers in the Dominion, inserted a voting paper in its January issue »v--ing the issues “yes” and ‘no” on the question of the permanent retention of Summertime. Tins postal, cot., will not close till March 16th, but th. progress figures show that of approximately 160,000 people far covered bv the v,.teeent are oposed to Summertime.
