The usual weekly competition was held on Saturday, instead of Wednesday, the scores being as follows:—Mrs Tennent 5, Mrs Phillips 12, Mrs Johnston 5, Mrs Thomas 13, Airs Saywell 12 Mrs Smith 12, Mrs Haglund 14, Mrs Legg 13, Mrs Mercer 14. Mrs Fogarty 3, Mrs Griffen 8. Mrs Mercer was the winner of A Section and Airs Haglund of B Section. The final of the first life of the doubles championship was played between Afesdames Tennent and Savwell and Afesdames Legg and Hannan, the former proving the winners. The semi-final in the second life was ]>layed on Alonday, when Afesdames Legg and Hannan defeated Afesdames Topliss and Mercer. The final round of the
