CHICAGO GUN BATTLES
POLICE AND GANGSTERS KILLED NEW YORK, February 20. At Chicago Police Commissioner Hughes, announced that since January 1, 1925, thirty-two policemen, and 143 gangsters had been slain in gun battles. In the preceding two years, the death toll was eighteen policemen and ninety gangsters.
