GOVERNMENT ’ S REQUEST. A “BOMBSHELL” EFFECT ON MARKET. LONDON, February 9. In an official announcemcntj the Government has asked the Committee of Civil Research to investigate the working of the rubber restriction scheme. It came upon the market as a bombshell.. and the spot price fell from Is 6i to Is 24d per pound.
