CROQUET

The members and friends of the Makura Croquet Chib spent a very enjoyable afternoon on the lawns on Wednesday. The weather was perfect and the lawns were in splendid order. The usual weekly competition was held and the results were as follows:— Mrs Merce’' 11, Mrs Saywell 6, Mrs Tennent 9, Mrs Tcpliss 14, Mrs Smith 4, Mrs Reynolds 10, Mrs McGimpsey 7, Mrs Haglund 11, Miss Sheedy 10, Miss Maze 11, Mrs Thoma -6, Mrs Johnston 9, Mrs Coburn 14, Mrs Phillips 4, Mrs Fogarty .10, Mrs Hambleton 10, Mrs Griffen 11. The trophy in the A. Section was won by Mrs Topliss and the B. Section by Mrs Coburn. A golf croquet competition was also held which was won by Mrs Saywell, and a putting competition which created much interest, was also held.
