BREAD REDUCED. SYDNEY, February 9. Bakers are reducing the price of bread by a farthing per loaf from Monday next. SMITHS’ FLIGHT LOG. SYDNEY, February 9. Sir Keith Smith presented to Mr Bruce, for placing in the Historic Records Museum, the log of the flight from England to Australia, made b-’ the late Sir Ross Smith and Sir Keith in 1919. TOTE UNSATISFACTORY. BRISBANE, February 9. The Government has revoked the totalisator permit to the Queensland Turf Club, owing to the number of serious mistakes during recent months made by the machine. In most cases, the mistakes were rectified before the dividends were paid out, but in others the investors suffered.
