KILLED BY FAULTY CONCRETE. AUCKLAND, February 6. Allan Joseph Williams (9) returning from Sunday School, was swinging on a gate chain hung between concrete pillars on a Panmure Road residence. One post gave way, and Williams was fatally injured when a piece of concrete fell on his head. SWIMMING BATHS WANGANUI, February G. ’ At the inquest this morning on a boy who could not swim, and who using an inflated motor tube in the Corporation Baths, was drowned, both ttye custodian of the Baths and the Coroner commented upon the u s e °f inflated tyres and wings as being dangerous. These '’only encouraged those who could not swim to take risks, and get into deep water.
