Three tests matches were played between England and Australia, England winning the first, Australia the second, while the third was drawn Australia won nine matches, twenty games, 76, points; England nine matches, nineteen games, 721 points. The English, team leaves Sydney on Friday for New Zealand. NEW N.Z. CYCLING RECORD. MASTERTON, January 17. The Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Sub-Centre to-night received an application from T. Oakley, for recognition of his time, 7 minutes 13 seconds, established at the Wairarapa Caledonian Society’s sports on January 2, as a New Zealand grass track cycle record
for three miles. Three watches agreed, and the course was certified at full distance. It was decided to approve of the application and forward it to the Wellington Centre.
