RUSSIAN RADIO. (Per Press Association.) PALMERston N., November 30. Last night, W. A. Waters, with the aid of D. M. Zotoff, of Bunnythorpe obtained a translation of items broadcasted by the Soviet station located at Khabarovsk 485 miles north of Vladivostok. Many items were Communist propaganda. Others stated that a railway line is to be built from the Captian Sea to a place unnamed. It was also alleged that England was preparing her workers to sweep out the Soviet Republics by May, 1928. A long talk was given about homing pigeons for war purposes. A big station is to be opened at Moscow for th? 'breeding of birds. FREEMASONRY IN N. Z. CHRISTCHURCH, November 30. At the annual Communication today of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand, the report stated that there had been a net increase of membership in the year to the extent of 756, bringing the total strength of Lodges under the New Zealand Constitution to 25,289. The balance-sheet shows that the capital of the Grand Lodge has been increased in the last twelve months by £11,587, and now stands as follows: General Fund, £12.358; widows and orphans and aged Masons’ fund £82.881. special war benevolent fund £7,814, fund of benevolence £5.356, circular appeal funds £946, representative fund £2,246. DUNEDIN STATISTICS. DUNEDIN. November 30. The Customs revenue collected at Dunedin during November showed a decrease in comparison with the returns of the corresponding period of last year being in parentheses, are as follows: ’Customs, £53,519 Is 5d (£68,629 8s 6d); beer £19.235 Ils Id (£27,197 2s 4d). The Dunedin vital statistics for November as compared with those for the same month last year (shown in parentheses) are as follows: Births 153 (134); deaths 97 (65): marriages 62 (81).
