REEFTON NOTES.

REEFTON, November 29.

Miss E. Moore, formerly of the Leaching staff of the Reefton D. H. School, left this morning on an extended tour of the North Island.

Miss. M. Leggoe left for Wellington by this morning on holidays . Mr. F. Foley and Mr. E. Mosley, of the Bank of New Zealand, and National Band respectively, have returned to Reefton, and resumed duty after their fortnights’ annual leave. Mrs. C. Neviu, accompanied by her niece, Miss Moira August, left this morning for Welington. Mr. A. Beban of Groymouth, is on a visit to Reefton.

Mr. Justice Fraser, Messrs J. Monteith. W. Scott and J. A. Gilmour, (of the Arbitration Court) passed through Reeftou today from Greymouth en route to Westport. The work of remetalling and rolling Broadway is being pushed ahead. The largest portion of the main having been completed. A meeting of the Reefton Cricket Club takes place on Thursday night, at 7.30 p.m. to consider a challenge to one of the teams in the district, at an early and suitable pay SaturdayThere are a number of promising players here, who are expected to hold their own with their opponents.
