Chasm Creek Bridge.

WELLINGTON, July 11. Mr. IT. E. Holland has received from the Minister of Mines the following letter in reference to the erection of a bridge over Chasm Creek, Seddonville: “Reverting to your interview with me this morning regarding the erection of a bridge over Chasm Creek at Seddonville, I have to state that as already verbally advised, a difference of opinion has arisen as to the most suitable location for the bridge, and I have taken steps to obtain a report on the matter from the Assistant-Engineer, Public Works Department at Westport, asking him also to furnish an estimate of the cost of erection of a bridge both at the higher and lower levels. On receipt of the report referred to, the matter will be given further consideration. (signed) G. J. Anderson, Minister of Mines.
