SHANTUNG OPERATIONS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assa -) SHANGHAI, July 10. The Tsingtsao crisis is reported to have ended. Chenghsin was routed by Sun Chuan Fang, who is operating with Chang Chung Chang, the Shangtung militarist. Railway communication between Tsingtao and the inland cities has been restored, principally owing to patrolling by Japanese troops. Meantime, the main Shantung army is locked in combat with the vanguard of the Cantonese in the vicinity of Lincheng. It is claimed that the Southerners'have been repulsed. A conference is in progress between the garrison commanders of five foreign Powers regarding the defence of Tientsin.
