HENRY FORD.
APOLOGY TO JEWS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) NEW YORK, July 8. Henry Ford has ordered his newspaper, the Dearborn Independent, to cease the publication of articles reflecting on Jewish people, also to withdraw for circulation the International Jew pamphlet. Mr Ford says that the multitude ot his activities makes it impossible for him to keep informed of the contents of magazine articles, which had justified the righteous indignation entertained by Jews everywhere toward him, adding: “I was mortified on discovering the actual nature of the articles. Those who know me will bear witness that it is not in my nature to inflict insult and pain upon anybody. I deem is my duty as an honourable man to make Amends for the wrong done to the. Jews as fellow men and brothers. In asking forgiveness for acts unintentionally committed, I give th< ’ m Imy assurance that henceforth they may look to me for friendship and goodwill. ’ ’
