THE LAST STRAW. They were lost in a snowstorm and had drifted oil.' the main road and driven their car for miles without catching sight of a sign or of human life. They were numb with cold, hungry, drowsy, mid tired. After what seemed an eternity of wandering they noticed a sign nt the top of a pole several hundred feet from the road, and a shout of joy went up from the weary travellers. ‘■That will tell us where we are and direct us somewhere, Henry,” said his wife. “Go over and sec.” Henry got out, floundered through the drifts in the dark, barked his shins several times, and, his teeth clattering with cold, finally reached the sign. He climbed the post, struck a match, and read the sign. The family watched him wearily plodding back to them. “What did it say?” they asked, eagerly, when he .reached them. “ ‘Drink Brown’s —It relieves fatigue,’ ” was his reply.
