TUG SUNK.
TN COOK STRAIT. WELLINGTON, Dee. 8. Cook Strait is a burial ground for ships that have seen better days, and it claimed another vessel this morning, when the well-known tug Admiral, after nianv wars of useful service, was towed out to sen by the Hiirbonr Board’s tug “Tola,” ami sunk in HO fathoms of water, southeast of Jurakirae Head. . , Several months ago ihc Adniii.il was condemned as useless, ami after being dismantled, she was tied up at Shelly Bnv to await her end. Other vessels that have been sunk in the strait in recent years are the Solgran, the Poherua, and the Taka puna.
