GIRLS BURNED.
TWO WINTOW FATALITIES. INVERCARGILL, October 13. A young girl, Mavis Perriam, aged 12, whose parents reside at Winton, received serious burns on Tuesday, and is now in the hospital in a serious condition. She was standing before an open fire when her clothes caught al Euna Ward, aged -four, of Wyndham, died on Tuesday as a result o burns received the same morning. She was dressing before an open fire, and her nightdress caught alight. Her sis e tempted to P nt out the flames by pouri„<r on water, and the lleote girl rec on cd seflous injuries before the extinguished. She was■ pargill hospital, and died suit of shock and injuries.
