Brighter Greymouth Committee. PLANS FOB ASSISTANCE. A meeting of the Brighter Greymouth Committee was held yesterday afternoon to further discuss the assistance to be given to the Main Schoo] Jubilee Committee in connection with the forthcoming celebrations. The Alayor, Mr W. IT. Parfitt, presided over a large meeting. Mr I. Nelson reported that £l3 had bees raised as the result of the canvass of the business area of the town. It was stated that information was asked as to whether the shops would be .shut on Wednesday morning. It was pointed out that it had already been decided that shops would he opened on • Wednesday and observe the usual half holiday in the afternoon.
