The Labour Art Union promoted by (the Canterbury Labour Representative Committee is now in its closing weeks. The sales of tickets' stops on Oct. I.6th. three weeks from now, and the drawing takes place on Oct. 26th. The reason of tin* Art Union is to pay off election debts incurred at the last General Elections, and seventy-five per cent of The proceeds are to go to the National funds to be used for future elections. The prizes are gold nuggets worth £5OO, in other words over twelve pounds of pure gold nuggets will be handed to the lucky winners. The tickets are only 1/- each, books of 12 tickets, 10/- White for a book or a ticket to-ilav to Jas. O’Brien, Brick Street, Greymouth.
