From N.Z. Miners. (Special to “Argus. ’) MILLERTON, Sept. 22. The United Mine Workers of New Zealand have just cabled to the British Miners’ Federation another donation in aid of the fund to maintain the locked out men and their dependents. The sum cabled is £2,000. This makes the amount sent so far by the New Zealand United Mine Workers up to no less than.£4,ooo, which is truly a. creditable contribution for a sirgle section of the working (lass in the Dominion. Tho miners will continue to help as far as lies within
their power while the British miners are being kept idle by the coal owners in the attempt to lower the w ages and conditions and to increase their hours. The other workers of New Zea. land ought to take a leaf out c-f the miners’ book, and lend a hand while the opportunity, indeed necessity exists for so doing. An Appeal. FOR BRITISH MINERS.
