MOTHERS’ UNION. START PROTEST AGITATION. CHRISTCHURCH, July 22. A movement of protest against the high co-st of living in general lias been decided upon by Spreydon Branch of the Mothers’ Union, which will calj a combined meeting of the other societies interested. This course was decided upon at a meeting of the Branch yesterday'. The recent rises in the prices of com modifies, particularly bread, were discussed, and a committee was set up to go into arrangements for a combined meeting.
