RAISE OBJECTIONS. TO DOMINION TARIFFS.. (Received Julv 22. at 8.30 pan.) LONDON, July 22. Mr Tattersail (Chairman) speaking at a meeting of the English Sewing Cotton Coy. strongly epmmonted on Australia’s action in raising her heavy tariff barriers, thus only according a small customs preferential advantage to nritish goods He said that returns showed that last year Lancashire and Yorkshire suffered 'a severe diminution in their exports to Australia. Mr Tattersail remarked that it.would almost appear that the only export which tho colonies are now prepared to admit freely is British capital. He urged the Lancashire and Yorkshire members of Parliament to tackle tho Government in connection with this matter, with a view of securing a 1 frank discussion of the County’s reciprocal relations with the colonies at the Imperial Conference.
