PLUNKET SOCIETY.

COIN AFTERNOON. A very pleasant coin afternoon, was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Guinness Street, yesterday afternoon in connection with the Grey mouth branch of the Plunket Society. Mrs Carr, president of the Society presided over a fair attendance. During the afternoon several songs were given and were warmly applauded. The vocalists were Mrs Melville and Misses Doreen Donovan, Hopgood and Ellison. Misses Gray and Williams were -».e accompanists. A very nice afterK't'in tea was partaken, the homemade dainties being set out on the tables tastefully decerated with flowers. Much diversion was caused by two competitions which were held. Ss Gudsell and Miss Williams were ‘ho winners of one and Mrs Tomkin and Miss Meikle the winners of the other. The piano for the afternoon was kindly lent by the Bristol Piano Company.
