Australian Referenda. LABOUR’S ATTIT’ NOT UNITED. (Received July 21 at 8.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 21. An All-Australian Labour Party Conhas been called by Mr. Willis for the 7th. of August in order to endeavour to secure an united opposition of the Party to Mr. Bruce’s industrial referenda proposals. Mr. Charlton (Federal Leader) has been asked to attend. If he does so he will be asked to explain the attitude he lias adopted so far as regards the proposals. The New South Wales Executive of the Australian Labour Party has issued a manifesto urging the workers to vote against Mr. Bruce’s proposals, and in it describes the proposals as the most’ dastardly attempt ever made upon the liberty of the Australian trade unions. ADELAIDE, July 21. ■ In reply to a question in the South' Australian Assembly, the Premier, Mr. Gunn, stated he was going wholeheartedly to support Mr. Charlton and the latter’s attitude towards the refer enda proposals. . COLLIERY ENGINE MEN’S CASE. (Received July 21 at 11.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, duly 21. General dissatisfaction is expressed in Trades Union circles with Mr. nibbles’ decision _on the colliery engine men’s case. A number of unions concerned favour an endeavour to have Air nibbles removed from the Coal Tribunal by political action.
