ROYAL VISIT.
MAIL SHIP PROPOSED. WITH ESCORTING SQUADRON. LONDON, July 20. ' Although the details of the Duke and Duchess of York’s transportation are ■not yet settled, it is unofficially stated 1 that the precedent of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall’s visit in 1901 ’will be closely followed, including the charter ng of a mail ship, with a naval 'escort but comprising a battleship or battle evuiser. The itinerary will be similar to that of 1901, embracing all the principal Australian ports, besides New Zealand. The return route may differ from that of 1901, by including the Cape instead of Canada. During the Yorks’ absence, every care will be taken of their infant under the direct supervision of Queen Mary.
