OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT. “THE WOMAN WHO OBEYED. ’’ To-day with the universal suffrage and increasing power of woman there 'has been nothing sacred from the iconoclasts, who in their effort for the great emanicipation of women have deslroycd everything within sight. The marriage service has come in for a lot ol criticism and the word “obey” has caused a lot of wrangling. In “The Wo man Who Obeyed,” a British production, we are told the real effect of that small word. Here we arc shown a bus band whose wishes were to be law in his home and a wife who obeyed only too well. The veil is torn away from the intimacy of a British home, which although! wealthy, may yet bo anyones. The story will shed a new light on this most perplexing of modern problems. •‘The Woman Who Obeyed ’ is released by Paramount Pictures. In the cast of well known English screen players arc Hilda Bayley, Stewart Rome, and t’eter Dear. The production, which is under the direction of Sidney Morgan, will be. presented at the Opera House to-night.
FRIDAY ONLY. KIN TIN TIN —Tllli WONDER DOG. There are stars and stars, but the famens Master Picture dog, Rin-Tin-Tin, is the star that is appearing m ‘The Lighthouse by the Sea,” translated onto the screen from Owen Davis’ stage play with Louise Fazenda, “Buster” Collier Jr , Mathew Betz, Douglas Gerrard and Charles Hill Mailes in the cast. This picture will be shown at the pcra House on Friday night only.
