AUCKLAND TROTS. AUCKLAND, June 19. The Auckland Trotting Club r s Winter Meeting opened to-day. The weather was fine, and the attendance was large. The tote took £49,646A, compared with £50,306 for last year, when the meeting was held in the autumn, and there were eight races, against ♦seven to-day. The Napier Park Winter Meeting concluded to-day in beautiful weather, with a large attendance. , The tote handled £14,449, against £16,535 on the Second day last year, making £26,559 for the meeting, an increase of £4,147. Results:— Hunt Club Steeplechase. —3 Kirkwood (W. J. Bowden) 1; 8 Supporter 2; 1 Silent Dick 3. Also ran: 4 Kovno, 2 Guanaco, 5 Mahia, 6 Kyoto, 7 Aeota Roa. Won by a length; fifteen lengths.
