Labour Not Budging. POSITION AT END Of THURSDAY. (Received Mav 7 at 8.50 p.irt.)LONDON, May 7. . The, position, to-night can be summarised as follows: Firstly, there is no weakening on either side. There are no definite peace negotiations. I Secondly, transport has vastly improved. Tubes have 7 reopened restricted services, and street congestion in London has thus'boon greatly relieved. At least nine hundred trains were running on the main lines of England. Thirdly, minor lawlessness is increasing. The hear on the motor ears has intensified. |
