The course was in splendid order, after recent rain. The tote put through £10,499 against £10,350 for the first day of the last May meeting. Results:— Novice Stakes. —I Waterlow (D. The stallion Tea Tray has been sold by the Hon. Mr Allison To Mr I. Duncan, of Elderslie Stud, oamaru. The price is not disclosed. It is stated to be the largest, ever paid for a sire< imported to or sold in New Zealand. A| number of mares in foal to Tea Tray, and also some yearlings, were sold to the same stud.
