MINE SETTLEMENT. At Stockton. MANAG F. R' S ATTIT UDE. (Special to Argus.) The Stockton Mine dispute remains unsettled. On 1-rday last, the executive cf the Miners’ Union im-t the. District CYmncil and they discussed the question with a view of ananging a settlement. They later met Mr. J. E. Armstrong, the Manager of the Stockton. Mine, when certain prnpnsnls were put forward. After carctid c. usitlcraiion. it was agreed that these would be a fair settlement, and the Union officials agreed to advise ihe men t<» accept them.
