DISPUTE at BEEFTON COAL COMPANY’S MINE. \ d-snuto over tl.c workit., of thling wat’eh shift at this mine which had been brewing for several days, came to a climax on Wednesday last, when it was announced that no more work would he done until the was settled. A mass meeting of the eonl section of the Inangahua Miners Vnion was held, at which it was deetde,] to .accept a proposal made by the District Council So.-rotary that the Check Inspectors and Government Inspectors examine the fire section and report hack as to the management’s justification in working the two places in dispute. Tne management agreed to the proposal and an examination was made by the parties named, with the addition of the Secretary of the Dis- . I trict Council.
