ARMY MEAT CO~ TRACTS. (Received February 25 at 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 24. It is announced khat an Australian meat export company has secured the whole of the War Office meat contracts for the ensuing year. LATER. It is officially slated'the meat contracts have been awarded to Swift’s Australian Meat Export Company. Jt- is understood the amount is roughly £30,000. This is the first time That Australia has been awarded the whole Army contract wliich amounts to a million and a-half twelve-ounce tins, compared with the three hundred thousand tins which Australia secured in 1925.
