Frazer, who has been ippointed successor to Inspector Eccles, in charge of the Grey district, arrived from Napier last evening. Inspector Frazer has had a very successful career. Joining the police department as a constable in Auckland, ho was then placed in charge of the Otorohanga Station, in the King Country. Ho was later promoted to Sergeant, and returned to Auckland, and from there was stationed at Napier. He thsn left for Palmerston North in the capacity of Senior Sergeant. Several years as Sub Inspector followed at Dunedin, amt when later further to inspectorship, was transferred to Napier, from whence he comes to Grey.
