BACKED BY CAPITALISTS. WELLINGTON. Feb. 11. Tlie Chamber of Commerce discussed the victimisation of f"ur volunteering seamen who "ere refused u passage on tlie Ngaiu, and expressed strong indignation. It was decided to send a letter of protest to tlie Anchor Company and obtain a complete report on the whole matter. Allusion was also made to the "pi"‘ ion expressed bv a member of the Barniers’ Union, that the Chamber was always against the farmers, (Members resented this, and considered there was ho foundation for it.
