The death occurred on Monday evening at his residence at Cronadun. of Mr John Brazil, one of the oldest and best known settlers in the Inangahua Valley. The deceased was a native of County Materi'ord, Troland, and was no loss than 93 years of age. lie was the last of that hardy band of pioneers who left the Old Land upwards of seventy years ago to seek their fortunes in New Zealand, and he followed the for a considerable time, in various parts of th 0 West Coast, Addisons Flat, Ross, and in Otago, finally settling some 56 years ago at Cronadun, where he had resided ever since. His wife predeceased him about 11 years ago, and he is survived by four daughters, Mesdnmes Hagan, Fox, Groquett [ami Adams, and two sons, John and pGarrett. The funeral takes place on .
