Mrs H. Wisdom nail Miss M. Noblo left for a holiday trip to Canterbury on Saturday. Mr and Mrs Geo. Crasc, of Ngakawau, are visiting Christchurch for the Grand National meeting. Mr and Mrs H. D. Janies (South Beach), who have beeit visiting Australia, returned home on Saturday. Mr n rd Mrs P. Heeney, pf Moann, leave for Christchurch on holiday this morning. Mr W. Meldrum. S.M.. returned from Christchurch on Saturday, and will preside at the sittings of the Magistrate s Court to-dav.

Mr and Mrs Mark Fagan, late of Reefton. are at present on a visit to Grevniouth. Mr. Fagan intends proceeding overland this week.

Mr and Mrs D. Tennent and the Misses Tennent left on Saturday on route to Palmerston North, to be present at the weddi.ig of Mr Blair I ennent, which takes place to-niorrow.

Mr George Surger, of Kumara, leaves to-dny for Christchurch to attend the wedding of his sister, Miss Grace Surger, who is being married to Mr D. O'Grady, of Waimatc. The wedding takes place on Wednesday next, the 12th hist., in Christchurch.

A large number of West Coasters left for Christchurch by the express on Saturday morning. Among those travelling were: Mrs McC.irmiek and Miss K. McCormick. Treadneedle Street: Mr and Mrs C. S.
