Bowling: Parker 158 wickets, average 13.37; Tate IGO, 13.75; MacAuley 143, 14.61; R. Tyldesley 118, 14.73; C. White 91. 10.03; Kilner 88, 16.03. MacDonald is fifteenth with 13J wickets at an average of 19.21. Notts, first innings, 154. Freeman took 5/65; second 377 (Carr 103, Payton 69), Kent first innings 205. Sarratt took four for 45 and Staples five for 56, second 329 for 6 (Bryan 102), Knott (57). Kent won by four wickets. For Gloucester against Surrey, Parker took nine for 118. Ror Surrey Fender took five for 57 and Peach tnre| for four. Surrey won. For Essex against Derby Hopkins took five for 44. The match was drawn. For Glamorgan against Clay i.t the first innings took 6 for 37 and Ryan in the second 5 for 35. For Somerset Bridges took 6 for 37. The match was drawn. The match Hampshire against Sussex was abandoned. Rain everywhere interfered with play.
