AGAINST COMBINE
N.S.W. GOVERNMENT MOVING (Received July 28 at 9.40 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 28. The Crown has laid an information initiating proceedings against certain persons and companies engaged in tho tile trade, under the provisions of the Afonopolies Act. The suit is for a penalty of £5OO against e.-u-li defendant in respect of each offence alleged. The information asks also for an injunction .
This is the first case under the Act The maximum penalty fixed by the Act fur each offence is £509.
