The final results of the elections for Councils General, after the second ballot, show that Cartel captured 133 seats from the Opposition, viz., tea from Communists, fourteen from Conservatives, sixty-one from Republicans and forty-eight from Left Republicans. The Government made a final appeal to the Senate regarding the Electoral Bill, but the Senate intimated -that its decision was final. The Bill was then dropped and Parliament prorogued till October 23. BIG U.S.A. WOOL CLIP. WASHINGTON, July 27. Wool in the United States during 1925 will total 249,885,000 lbs according to a preliminary report to the Department of Agriculture. This represents an increase of 11.350,000 lbs over 1924, averaging 7.4.8 lbs as compared with 7.40 lbs in 1024. LONDON, July 28.
